World Health Day 2025: “My Health, My Right”
World Health Day is held every year on 7th April, and this year’s theme, “My health, my right”, is a powerful reminder that access to healthcare is a basic human right. It shouldn’t depend on where you live, what you earn, or who you are.
At Priority Recruitment, we specialise in healthcare recruitment across the UK, so this one really hits home for us. We work every day to connect brilliant healthcare professionals with the organisations that need them. But we also believe in something bigger: a fairer, healthier future for everyone.
What “My Health, My Right” Means
This year’s theme from the World Health Organization (WHO) highlights the urgent need to remove barriers that stop people from getting the care they need. Whether it’s mental health support, social care, or specialist medical services, access to quality care should be universal.
The right to health isn’t just about hospitals or medication. It’s about dignity. It’s about making sure that every community has the professionals and resources to support them.
But here’s the thing: we can’t do that without the people. And right now, we need more of them.
Healthcare Needs People, Now More Than Ever
We’ve been in the healthcare recruitment space for over a decade. We’ve placed hundreds of healthcare professionals across the UK.
And while the need for quality staff has never been higher, the system is under pressure:
- Services are overstretched
- Waiting lists are growing
- And the workforce is burning out
That’s why recruitment in this space isn’t just about filling jobs—it’s about building the foundation of our healthcare system.
What We’re Doing to Support the Sector
At Priority Recruitment, we don’t just find people jobs, we match values, goals, and ambitions. Our healthcare division is built on lived experience, with many of our team coming from support worker or care backgrounds themselves.
Here’s how we support the right to health through recruitment:
- We only work with clients who pay fairly and treat staff with respect
- We place people in roles where their skills make a real difference
- We support career growth and development in healthcare and social care
- We advocate for mental health support for our candidates and our team
We’re proud to partner with organisations that genuinely care. If they don’t? We don’t work with them.
Join the Mission
World Health Day 2025 isn’t just about awareness—it’s a call to action. At Priority Recruitment, we’re proud to stand behind the people who make healthcare happen. Every shift. Every home visit. Every life changed.
Let’s work together to make health fairer, more accessible, and more human—for everyone.
