Priority Recruitment are excited to present this brand-new opportunity for a Support Worker in Rochdale.

We are seeking a patient, caring Support Worker to look after a 50-year-old female living with a brain injury.

The role includes personal care and manual handling and supporting her in her day-to-day life.

We are searching for a Support Worker who shares our belief that disability is not a barrier and doesn’t have to stop anyone from living their best life and enjoying new and varied experiences.

Initially, this is a temporary role with the opportunity to be employed permanently after an initial trial period.

Please note that previous experience in complex care and a driver’s license is required for this role.

Salary & Benefits:
  • Competitive pay rate of £13.17 per hour during the week and £14.17 per hour at the weekends and on Bank Holidays.
  • Weekly pay.
  • DBS fees reimbursed.
  • Access to 30,000+ national and local employee discounts (electronics, home appliances, food, groceries, car buying, travel, fitness and more).
  • Access to 100+ free virtual courses, live and on-demand, to improve your skills and aid self-development.
  • Refer a friend scheme – you can earn up to £500 per referral!
  • Permanent employment option available after a trial period.
Client and Role:
  • Supporting the client at her own home.
  • The client lives with a brain injury, uses an electric wheelchair and is partially verbal.
  • She needs support with personal care, toileting, administering medication and being taken to activities and appointments.
Successful Applicant:
  • Must have previous experience with clients living with brain injury and requiring complex care.
  • Able to work unsociable hours (evenings, weekends).
  • Must have a full valid driver’s license to take the client to appointments.
The role will be truly rewarding for someone who is able to communicate effectively and work with patience, tact, understanding, warmth and compassion.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Support Worker to make a real difference in another person’s life.
